Hello and welcome to another exciting episode of Saturday Morning Pajamas. Today we reacquaint ourselves with an often overlooked film series when discussing the greats. The Child’s Play / “blank” of Chucky films were a staple of my growing up and yet Chucky is also often forgotten when discussing the master horror villans. Freddy, Jason, Michael Myers, and hell even Pinhead are often praised yet it is this doll which set up so much nightmare fuel in the late 1980s and 1990s.
Just this past week the most recent addition to this series, Curse of Chucky, was discovered on Netflix. Upon a viewing, the Chucky spirit was rekindled and inspired today’s episode. Please have yourself a listen via iTunes, TuneIn, Google Play Music, Stitcher, your favorite Podcast directory, or even right on this blog post by scrolling down and using the embedded PodBean player.
Once you’ve listened to our latest episode, we invite you to share your thoughts via the comments section below. We’re also interested in what your favorite, or least favorite, Chucky film is and why. What was your favorite death in all of the film series? Would you keep a Chucky doll in your home, and if so how tight would the rope be to keep Charles Lee Ray at bay while you sleep?
